Brett Favre on Saints' bounties: 'It's football'

Brett Favre says he's not upset by the program which provided cash bonuses to members of the Saints who harmed opposing players from 2009-2011, according to an NFL investigation.

The former Vikings quarterback was cited as a specific target of the defense during the 2009 NFC Championship, when linebacker Jonathan Vilma offered $10,000 to anyone who knocked Favre out of the game, according to a letter sent to 32 NFL teams and reported by SI.com.

Favre says it's a part of the sport.
"I'm not pissed. It's football," he told Sports Illustrated's Peter King. "I don't think anything less of those guys. Said or unsaid, guys do it anyway. If they can drill you and get you out, they will.''
Kurt Warner, another quarterback cited as a target by the report, said Friday he was disappointed but not surprised by the findings, and agreed that bounties are an unfortunate part of the game.
